This is the very pinnacle of the band's work. The amount of great songs is staggering. They don't experiment excessively, but what they do sticks forcefully in my mind. I can't single out a single best song, cause there's too much of them - The Cavernous Deep, Nonextence, Grit, Among Ashes and Monoliths and even Black waters have all set places in several of my playlists. This album hit me off guard, and it hit strong. One of the best in 2021
